House Rules
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The house will be cleaned and made presentable before your arrival and it is expected that it will be left in a tidy state on your departure. (Apart from the bedding, which will be tended to after you have departed.)
A complete photographic inventory of the property and its contents will be made prior to the tenants entering the property and the same upon their departure.
There are bins in the house and the garage, which should be used to ensure wildlife cannot get to any food waste or rubbish that has to be disposed of.
There is a resident caretaker in Blue Bay and you will be furnished with his details upon your arrival. He can be contacted in the event of an emergency or if you notice any suspicious activity in the area.
Always ensure the windows are closed and alarm activated when the house is left empty at any time during your stay.
The owners will not be liable for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal belongings of any occupant during their stay in the property.
The sewage system consists of a septic tank and no foreign objects or liquids (other than typical washing up and cleaning and the supplied toilet paper, should by flushed down the toilets or drains at any time.
The property is equipped with external lights, but its use should be limited to a minimum to avoid disrupting the local wildlife. (If you are fortunate you will hear and possible notice the resident owl on the roof.)
By virtue of the area bordering a nature reserve, no lessee or occupier of a property shall keep any animal, insect, reptile or bird (pet) in a dwelling or on the communal property in the area.
Quad bikes will not be permitted to be driven in Blue Bay Private Estate.
Fireworks of any kind may never be discharged in or around Blue Bay Private Estate due to the high risk of veld fires and danger to dwellings.
Due to the sensitivity of the vegetation in the area:
a. Walking will only be permitted along the roadway or designated pathways.
b. No vehicle or motorcycle may be driven off the roadway or designated pathways.
c. Parking will be allowed in designated areas only.
d. Open fires will not be permitted within the development area unless on a member’s property with the necessary facilities and under adult supervision.
